Acclaimed pastry chefJordi Roca from the world's best restaurant El Celler de Can Roca has a new undertaking. The chef is teaching online cooking classes for those eager to learn his pastry wizardry, El País reports.
Known for creating whimsical creations like warm ice cream, the Michelin-starred chef will teach eager cooks how to make amazing ice cream, sorbets and toppings like the ones served at his unique ice cream shop Rocambolesc.
The classes will be taught through Creative Signatures, an online platform for virtual cooking lessons. Although the services are currently offered in Spanish only they will soon be translated into English, according to El País.
Creative Singatures is currently offering four classes taught by two renown Spanish chefs, a bartender and sommelier. Each course is offered in HD and can be viewed repeatedly without paying extra. Participating students will receive a certificate after completing each course.
Roca's ice cream course features a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes of video divided into 15 lessons. The eight recipes include Baked Apple Ice Cream with Apples and Sablé Cookie, Rocambolesc-style Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Cake Topping and Roca-Cola Sorbet. The course costs 89 euros ($122).
