This fruit bowl design from Nicola Loi and Andrea Maffezzoni takes the usual concept of a fruit bowl and gives it a linear make over. The Freccia Mela is an arrow shaped design made from acrylic stone that doubles as a piece of wall art and an innovative fruit holder.
It will hold apples, pears and oranges and places them at the center of the kitchen a great way of displaying fresh fruits and encouraging people to take one. The fruits are separated from the wall by a thin layer of polycarbonate so they never have to touch up against the wall.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
