Faux Food is a collection of pictures from Cecille Chavez who has created an interesting series of pictures of everyday food items in strange and surreal situations.
One piece sees grapes and a cheese slice among other foods held by blue hands on a pink wall while others shows fruits in an entirely different light.
The artist says she is “creating conceptual imagery with the purpose of bringing attention to current issues, usually based on food or animal related topics. With an attraction to all things vibrant and playful.”
The work is certainly both vibrant and playful as you can see from the pictures and you can see more of the artist’s work on her site.
