A number of reports online are suggesting that chef Danny Bowien, who has built a rapid and strong reputation for his Americanized oriental cuisine, is set to jet off to Paris in January in search of his next venue.
Mission Chinese Food started with Bowien and his colleague Anthony Myint running a food truck on Thursdays in San Francisco - it then moved on to a more solid venue and has expanded to New York where the rock style chef, his loud music and fascinating flavor combinations, has captured the heart, minds and tongues of the Big Apple.
The latest venture is just a rumor but with Grub Street taking the news from an interview with the chef in the new Food Arts print magazine.
