For wine lovers the summer months are all about rosé, especially in France, where bottles of French rosé adorn tables up and down the country in the summer months. So here’s a fun new Facebook app that will help you wile away those long summer days learning about the refreshing pink stuff as you sip.
Vinoga Quests – Flavors of Rosé helps you train for a virtual French rosé competition by guiding you around various vineyards in the South of France, in which you have to find the hidden tasting notes – a kind of treasure hunt for wine expertise. What’s more, you can buy the wines in real life – the game is collaboration between French developers Metidia and three French wineries (Quiot Family, Domaine de Berne and Château Les Valentines).

Metidia
Flavors of Rosé is the sequel to the original Vinoga game, in which you had to run a vineyard and build your wine business. The Facebook app is available until 30 Septemeber, for free, so even if you’re not in the South of France, perhaps sipping on a cold, crisp rosé and playing this game wherever you are will transport you there? Just a little imagination needed.
