The Eat Out Award Winners for South Africa have now been announced with a whole array of restaurants highlighted for their outstanding food, wine, presentation, taste and value for money.
The Test Kitchen run by chef Luke Dale Roberts took the number one spot for its exquisite cuisine and, as the name suggests, it's innovative approach to making new discoveries in the kitchen.
Runner up was The Tasting Room run by chef Margot Janse. Situated in Western Cape the restaurant is know for presenting African inspired cuisine with a light female touch - the restaurant was placed 57 on out of the world's 100 best restaurants in 2012. Janse was also picked as the chef of the year - an achievement she talks of fondly in the video below.
