Beef curry is a delicious and enveloping meat stew to be served with white rice or naan bread, the typical unleavened Indian bread. This is a comfort recipe that you can prepare in a few simple steps. Remember not to be in a hurry in the preparation, because the curried beef will have to cook at least two hours to be very soft. Here is the step-by-step recipe for beef curry.

Step 01

beef cubes

Cut the beef into cubes of the same size so that all the meat will cook at the same time. Season the meat with salt and pepper, and massage it for a few minutes, then set it aside.

Step 02

In a large pan, heat a little oil and brown the bites of meat well. Then arrange them in a pan.

Step 03

In the same pot, add another drizzle of oil and add the onion cut into thin slices, the carrot cut into discs, and the celery cut into small pieces. Sauté all the vegetables well. Also add the garlic and grated ginger.

Add curry and crushed peeled tomatoes to the stewed vegetables. Stir and add the milk. Bring to a boil and add the bay leaf and the meat. Lower the heat to low and cook for 2 hours with the lid on.

After the cooking time, add salt, raise the heat and thicken the cooking sauce.
