Some of Los Angeles’ most recognizable chefs will share the kitchen for a single night this spring, as Cuisine for a Cause returns to support Lupus LA.
Taking place on May 3 at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles, the annual fundraiser brings together a cross-section of the city’s dining scene, from fine dining institutions to neighborhood standouts, for a collaborative tasting event centered on raising funds for lupus research, advocacy, and patient support.
The lineup reads like a snapshot of LA’s culinary landscape. Neal Fraser will represent both Redbird and Vibiana, joined by Tal Ronnen of Crossroads, Bricia Lopez of Guelaguetza, Vartan Abgaryan of Momed, Ben Ford of Ford’s Filling Station, and David LeFevre of Manhattan Beach Post. Pastry chef Sherry Yard will lead the dessert portion of the evening.
Rather than a seated dinner, the format leans into movement and discovery. Guests circulate through Vibiana’s courtyard, sampling dishes that reflect each chef’s approach and restaurant identity, essentially turning the evening into a citywide tasting under one roof. The experience continues indoors with desserts and drinks during the main program.
That program will also spotlight members of the lupus community, including honorees Amanda Palley, Terri Seymour, and Dr. Vaneet Sandhu, each recognized for contributions to awareness, advocacy, and medical research.
