Cioccolato is a Mexico-based pastry boutique specialized in custom deserts for special events. Designed by local studio Savvy, the shop mixes white and colors. Against a backdrop of snow-white furnishings and walls, boldly colored cupcakes, poppy macarons, bright marshmallows, and dazzling sweets are proudly presented in glass jars and cake plates. A magenta-dyed drip oozes down a table, chocolate saturates a counter corner, and framed photos of whisks and cookies line the walls.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
