In their series Meals Interreupted, husband and wife duo photographer Davide Luciano and food stylist Claudia Ficca explore what happens when disaster strikes at the dinner table.
Perhaps a swarm of bees attacked a picnic, a food fight broke out in a school lunch room, or some foul play interrupted an Italian dinner. Whatever the unforeseen circumstance, Luciano captured the disastrous but often humorous meals on camera.
The couple worked with New York-based prop stylist Maeve Sheridan to tell these fascinating and unpredictable stories. Together they dealt with the challenges of working with bees and setting fire to their props. The result? Some pretty interesting images.
