Brooklyn-based artist Matt James Stone has turned ordinary bananas into deconstructed food art. He's shaped, twisted and bent this tropical fruit into amazing eye-catching masterpieces.
The deconstructed bananas are part of his series called Fruit. Stone used paint, pins and other tools to craft his contorted food art. It's a refreshing departure from the tattoed banana art we've seen before.
Trained as a sculptor, Stone has produced a wide variety of other works which are showcased on his website.
