British chef Heston Blumenthal is organising a special dinner at his Hinds Head pub in Bray to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a special visit from the Queen.
On the 23rd April 1963 her Majesty the Queen and Prince Philip hosted a lunch inside a room of the pub which is now called ‘The Royal Room".
The dinner was atteneded by a host of royal guests including Princess Anne, the King of Norway, the Queen of Denmark and, the Queen of Sweden.
To mark the anniversary Heston and his team will host a special dinner inside the Hinds Head exactly 50 years after the Queen's visit. Dishes will be inspired by those served at the original lunch with a promise of lobster and spring lamb both making an appearance.
The meal will start at 7pm with tickets for the 5-course menu costing £55 per person.
