There's hot news coming out of Chicago as celebrated chef Grant Achatz is reportedly opening a new restaurant next year.
Achatz and business partner Nick Kokonas have leased the West Fulton Market space previously home to chef Homaro Cantu's iNG, Grub Street reports. The space is next door to the duo's avant-garde restaurant Next and their chic bar The Aviary.
So far, no name or concept has been revealed but Achatz told Eater the team expects the restaurant to be ready in "February or March" of 2015.
Aside from working on this new restaurant project, the chef is planning to open a pop-up restaurant in New York in October. Achatz' flagship restaurant Alinea ranks ninth of the World's 50 Best Restaurants list sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
