Do you have $10,000 sitting around? Perhaps you'd like enjoy a special whisky-themed dinner held at El Celler de Can Roca, the world's best restaurant located in Girona, Spain.
The lavish whisky-themed dinner is a special collaboration between The Roca Brothers and The Macallan. Together, they've put together total of six charity dinners featuring 10 snacks, 10 dishes and two desserts paired with 14 varieties of the Scottish whisky produced by the distillery, according to The Moodie Report.
Josep Roca, the restaurant's sommelier, said the menu was created after sampling more than 300 whiskies during the brothers visit to the Macallan distillery last year. “The challenge for us was to take this pairing between the best whisky and our cooking, and to apply it to one of our key creative processes, using aromas to create new dishes,” chef Joan Roca explained.
Diners willing to spend $10,000 on the 22-course dinner will be treated to unreleased single cask malts as well as the oldest single malt ever released by The Macallan distillery, which ages its spirits in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. Net proceeds from the event will go to charity.
The first two exclusive dinners will be held June 29th and 30th. The remaining four will be held on July 6th, 7th, 20th and the 21st. Reserve your spot by emailing [email protected] or calling +34 932224995.
