Don't Forget the Dress Code

When deciding to organise a dinner party, it’s a good idea to set the evening’s “tone” by recommending a dress code on the invitations (if written). Indicating “Smart Casual”, for example, means that the party will be an informal one. And of course, the chosen mode of invitation should reflect what kind of party you wish to host: if you’re making a phone call, just say something like “It’s just a gathering of friends”, and the men will understand they can leave their ties at home. And speaking of clothing, when hosting a party, never forget to have some stain remover handy – a clumsy guest will be eternally grateful.
