The online restaurant bookings application Toptable has had an update for iPhone and iPod touch.
Although not revolutionary the update does make the task of booking a restaurant on-the-go a much better experience with improved real time search for available restaurants, bigger and better pictures of dishes. This is because the update makes much better use of the iPhone's new retina display technology.
Toptable is still only available for restaurant bookings in the UK but similar software is also available in the US.
The amount of people who book restaurants on their smart phones is on the increase with Toptable suggesting that as many as 20% of the restaurant reservations made in the UK for the third quarter of 2012 coming from mobile bookings.
