Latin America 50 Best Restaurants

On 24 October 2017, Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna returns. This year the ceremony will take place in Bogotá, but don’t worry if you can’t make it to Colombia – you can live-stream the ceremony in its entirety on Fine Dining Lovers.

Last year Virgilio Martinez and Pia León's Central restaurant in Lima, Peru, claimed the title of Latin America's Best Restaurant for an astonishing third time.

Who will win this year? Will Central retain its crown, or will a new chef and restaurant take the title? Live-stream the ceremony on 24 October on Fine Dining Lovers to find out.

 The French–born chef Claude Troigros, who runs the Olympe restaurant in Rio de Janeiro, was named 2016 Diners Club Lifetime Achievement Award winner. Chef Kamilla Seidler, who is in charge of the kitchen at the social project/restaurant Gusto in Bolivia, has been picked as the recipient of Latin America's Best Female Chef 2016

Last but not least, The Alcalde restaurant in Mexico has been picked as the winner of the One to Watch award.

In 2015 Virgilio Martinez' Central was crowned the Latin America's Best Restaurant for the second year in a row, while Rodolfo Guzman's Boragò restaurant got the second position on the list. Astrid Y Gaston, in Lima, placed third.
