L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade will return to UCLA’s Royce Quad on October 17, bringing together 65 chefs for an afternoon of food and fundraising in support of childhood cancer research.
Now in its 14th year, the outdoor cookout is hosted by chef Suzanne Goin, restaurateur Caroline Styne, and chef David Lentz. The event has raised more than $12.5 million for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation since its launch, including more than $1.3 million in 2025.
Five first-time participants lead this year’s lineup: Dan Richer of Razza in Jersey City; Melody Bishop and Dennis Kelley of Written by the Seasons in Dallas; Nok Suntaranon of Kalaya in Philadelphia; Wylie Dufresne of Stretch Pizza in New York City; and Zack Walters of Sedalia’s Oyster & Seafood in Oklahoma City.
They will join returning chefs including Chris Bianco, Giada De Laurentiis, Nancy Silverton, Michael Cimarusti, Ludo Lefebvre, Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken, William Bradley, Lord Maynard Llera, and Goin herself. Participating chefs donate their time, food, and labor to the fundraiser, with wineries and mixologists still to be announced.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation grew from a lemonade stand started by Alexandra “Alex” Scott in 2000, when she was four years old and undergoing treatment for childhood cancer. Before her death in 2004 at age eight, Scott and her supporters had raised $1 million. The foundation established in her name has since raised more than $300 million and funded over 1,500 research projects.
The 2026 edition of L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade will run from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 17. General admission tickets are $275 through August 31 and will increase to $300 on September 1. Children ages 12 and younger receive complimentary admission with an accompanying adult. VIP and all-access tickets are also available.
