Cheese Cupid is a new app that’s being touted as Tinder for wine and cheese - ok, there’s no young bachelor bottles of wine waiting online to meet their right cheese but there are many people who need help deciding what cheese best pairs with their wine.
The app works very simply. Users choose a type of wine or cheese and the app then offers up some suggestions on what to pair with.
Users can also choose to start with a liquor or beer and have the app suggest the right cheeses to pair.
Rather than suggesting one pairing the app presents a mix of options that allow people to pair within their preference.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
