Cuisine in Mexico City - Thought from Mesamerica
We started this week on FDL with a report direct from the Mesamerica Food Festival in Mexico City.
The piece was a thoughtful and extensive report on the trends emerging from Latin America right now with ideas from Alex Atala, Carlo Petrini, Enrique Olvera and many more culinary professionals expressed.
The report also included some great videos from a number of chefs across Latin America and the overall piece shows just why so many chefs, Rene Redzepi and Ferran Adria included, think that Latin America really is where it's at.
A Special Regatta

This is a profile of ten rising young chefs who will all prepare dishes on board their country's boat before having their dishes and culinary skills judged by a panel of experts including Davide Scabin and Massimo Bottura.
