A Chat with David Thompson
This week we had an interview with chef David Thompson hot off the back of the announcement that his Nahm restaurant in Bangkok was picked as number one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List for 2014.
Thompson spoke about the shock of topping the list, how it was actually something he bet against happening and how his phone hasn’t stopped ringing since it happened.
Thompson also talked about some of his future project of opening some street food restaurants in a number of locations in Asia.

From Thailand we headed to South Africa for a look at the food truck movement that started there back in 2007 and had beeb grown ever since. From gourmet hotdogs to Braai’d chicken and Curries, this is a look at some of the most exciting food trucks in South Africa at the moment.
The piece looks at how the food truck movement will continue to grow and offers up some tips on where to eat in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town.

This week we also looked at how to make the perfect polpette, also known as Italian meatballs and took a trip to Slovenia to take part in a local snaps making competition.
