A taste of Munich
Our city tasting tour series has been a great success and from feeback it's evident that people like the idea of FDL's quick food guides for visiting some of the fampous cities of the world.
To name a few, we've done Sydney, Capetown, Paris and this week FDL visited Munich. While there we compiled a list of some of the best bars, restaurants and food markets to visit when in the German city.
So if its sausages cooked over coals, seasonal markets or the best curry wurst you're looking for, this guide is one worth consulting before your trip. There was also a look at the S.Pellegrino Culinary Selection for Germany and Austria - a collection of all the best restaurants to visit in both countries.
A foodie congress
This week was a very big week in terms of food as the Identità Golose food congress came to Milan, the home of FDL HQ. The congress, now in its 8th year, attracts over 80 top chefs and thousands of visitors over a three day period. FDL were there for it all and tweeted live from the three day event.
We produced a great teaser video from the festival giving people a glimpse of just what it's like to attend a world food event.
While there we also managed to interview many of the world's best chefs, inluding Rene Redzepi, Gaston Acurio and Alex Atala, to name just a few. Those interview will be published very soon so watch this space to see more.
A recipe for royalty
As England gets ready to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - FDL decided to celebrate it in our very own unique style as we took a look at the Queen of England's favorite meals.
Through interviewing Michael Sealey, her personal chef for over 40-years, FDL got a fascinating insight into the dining habits of one of the most celebrated people in the world. From breakfast, to her favorite sweet treats, Sealey gave FDL details only known by those loyal, royal servants.
We also managed to get a recipe for the Queen's favorite chocolate cake - A dark and rich cake that is also gluten free. We also got special a recipe for chicken breasts, one of the late Lady Diana's favorite dishes. So why not have a read and celebrate the Jubilee by making your very own royal recipes.
