Australian designer Peichun Lee had the refreshing idea of giving old-fashioned wooden picnic baskets a sleek makeover. His colorful PiqueNique baskets are compact, rectangular in shape and made of plastic. They look more like small suitcases than anything else.
Each one contains an array of plastic utensils, including collapsable cups and sectioned plates. The ultra mod picnic baskets come in three different sizes and colors.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
