While chocolate is a natural compliment to foods like peanut butter (and most recently potato chips), other exotic combinations work incredibly well. For example, if you'd like to excite your palate why not combine chocolate and polenta? Or chocolate and balsamic vinegar?
The trick is in pairing the right type of chocolate with the nuances of other ingredients. Think lavender would be a nice pairing? Reach for some milk chocolate. Making a dish with maple syrup and walnuts? Dark chocolate would be a great addition. Serving ceviche? White chocolate is your best bet.
