Italian homeware brand Alessi is releasing a new collection of Alessi products based around the theme of the circus, a collaboration with designer Marcel Wanders. The Alessi Circus collection is based on five circus characters, including Marcello the strongman as a nutcracker and a jester corkscrew called Gilberto.
As Dezeen reports, each figure is limited to 999 pieceseach, while the Alessi dinnerware collection will also include 29 tableware and kitchen products.
According to Wanders, “The circus is that sensory experience that never leaves you. It's magical. It's mystical. It's larger than life. That's what we capture in this collection – that one-of-a-kind spectacle.”
