Cocktails are so last summer. Why not try adding a touch of 'je ne sais quoi' to this year's summer refreshments by cooling off with an alcoholic popsicle or 'poptail' instead.
That's right, we're talking about the new alcoholic cocktail/popsicle love child that'll have you slurping on frozen mojitos on a stick before you can say "happy hour."
The concept was created by a French duo, Lapp, living in London: "We think poptails are the best (and most fun) way of enjoying a cocktail" the couple enthuse. The recipes are made in their London workshop using natural ingredients, fruit and alcohol.
It's easy to see how they could catch on in the park this summer; portable, and harder to spill than a cocktail, yet still boasting an alcoholic kick and a flirtatious summer twist.
Poptails come in a number of flavours, including favourites like Spritz, Gin Fizz, Bellini and Mojito, with between 3% and 7% abv and are currently available in the UK and France.
