Jet setting socialite Paris Hilton was recently in Shanghai. During her time there she ordered room service and posted the picture shown above to Instagram with the following caption: “Room Service time. I love Chinese food.”
With such a bountiful spread at her disposal the heiress must have been in Chinese food heaven but there was just one glitch: none of the food on the table actually appeared to be Chinese.
The Cut reports the menu apparently consisted of spaghetti Bolognese, a panini, two bowls of plain rice, two bowls of broth-based soup, a creamy soup, a salad, an ''unidentified golden blob'' with a sliced tomato, three dipping sauces, four small jam jars, two orange juices, a carrot juice, a light green juice and salt and pepper.
To Hilton's credit, there was a plate of what appears to be fried rice on the table (jackpot!). Or perhaps she was referring to the plain white rice when she professed her love of Chinese food. Maybe she was just too jet lagged to know the difference...are you surprised?
