Sugar has never looked so good as these designs from artist Joseph Marr who makes sculptures using sugar.
The Australian artist is a classical sculptor who instead of using metal or stone has carved himself a niche using sugar as his medium.
He uses actors to model his works before making a 3D-scan of their pose. He then creates almost photo realistic prints of his subjects before turning them into silicon molds. The final part of his work then involves using colored sugars to form the final parts of his designs.
As you see in the video below, it's painstaking work with the finished sweet creations having a lifelike quality that you just want to eat - the reason why people are actually allowed to touch, smell and, in some cases, taste eat his art.
