The makers of Hershey Kisses and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups have a sweet surprise coming our way after announcing they'll be launching their first new line of candy in 30 years.
The upcoming Lancaster candy line will feature a variety of ''soft, rich and creamy'' caramel candy that will debut in January 2014. According to a company press release, the line has already been released in a few select cities in China.
''The soft cremes were inspired by similar candies that company founder, Milton Hershey, made more than 120-years-ago in his original candy company located in Lancaster, Pa. As Mr. Hershey's first successful candy company, The Lancaster Caramel Company established his reputation in the confectionery industry and provided the foundation for the launch of The Hershey Company which first produced sweet chocolate as a coating for the caramels before creating the iconic Hershey's® Milk Chocolate bar,'' the press release states.
It's a bummer Lancaster soft cremes won't be available for Halloween but there's always next year...
