Could we really have a future with no food waste? It’s a difficult question to answer but it’s not stopping people around the world asking it.
In France they recently passed a law that will force supermarkets to redistribute edible food heading for the trash - part of an initiative to half the country’s food waste by 2025 and a new petition in the UK is calling on the supermarkets to do the same.
These changes in attitude and law is great but what would it really take to have a future without food waste? Is it even possible?
That’s exactly what the Danish MP Ida Auken discusses in the video below from a recent MAD Monday presentation to a group of chefs, farmers and writers.
Well worth a watch.
