We love a beautiful knife design at FDL HQ and we've brought you a far few varieties over our time. From Neanderthal knifes to more recently one designed to look like a bone.
The latest set of kitchen bling to catch our eye are these beautifully crafted knife designs which were created as part of a project called Food Work in Tokyo.
Called Silhouette the knives are designed in Norway by Petter Skogstad who claims they are built to reflect his understanding of Japan and the two countries shared love of fish. They are a modern take on the traditional Japanese deba bōchō knives.
At the moment the creation is still in the prototype stage but we hope he brings them to market soon.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
