In a week when Bernard Salt raised hairs in Australia stating that millennials are brunching on smashed avocado rather than buying houses, his worst fears have been confirmed by a young artist, who is quite literally dining out on the avocado toast craze.
Boris Toledo is the avocado artist that has turned his breakfast habit of smashed avocado into an an art form. "One day I wondered if it was possible to make drawings with it ... so I did," says Mr Toledo, matter of factly.
The Chilean artist has seen his works of art go viral after posting his them on Bored Panda. They include celebrity portraits and cartoon characters, ranging from the Mona Lisa to Star Wars's Yoda, with remarkable accuracy.
The artist does admit to scraping the avocado off the table onto toast to be eaten afterwards, however, with each portait taking up to six hours, it has been suggested out that the avocado remains surprisingly green, but thats just thanks to salt and lemon juice he informs us.
Have a look at some of his superfood creations below, and you can probably already guess what we're having for breakfast tomorrow.
