On July 28th 2013 the people of Peru celebrated their national day of Independence - a huge celebration throughout the country and one that sees a range of foods prepared in thousands of kitchens across the area.
To celebrate the big day the creative team behind the Finding Gaston documentary have created this wonderful video that shows cooks and chefs from across Peru celebrating the big day with smiles and of course food.
We see Gaston Acurio and Virgilio Martinezalongside a number of Peruvian chefs. The smiles, music and colorful food are all synonymous of the great Peruvian energy that is currently invading the culinary scenes of almost every major city around the world.
Now a three-Michelin-star restaurant, Noma has changed, but not necessarily on the plate. According to Kenneth Foong, it's all about the way the team works, which is closer to a tech company than a traditional restaurant. Read our exclusive interview with Noma's head chef.
