The 15th edition of San Sebastian's food congress Gastronomika is now in full swing with some of the world's best chefs heading to the Basque country for 4 days of food packed events, talks, special dinners and a whole array of interesting food conferences.
Sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, this year's edition will have a particular focus on London with a number of chefs who work in England's capital in San Sebastian to represent the vibrant dining scene the city now offers.
Nuno Mendes, Jason Atherton, Mikael Jonsson, Ashley Palmer-Watts, Isaac Mchale and James Lowe (The Young Turks) are just a selection of the chefs who will are at the conference to represent London's growing Avant Garde dining scene.
The Indian chef Atul Kochhar and the Japanese chef Junya Yamasaki will also be on hand acting as examples of the rich cultural diversity that is firmly on display at restaurants across the capital.
Spanish chef Eneko Atxa from the sustainable restaurant Azurmendi will be on hand to discuss the avant-garde vegetable garden, alongside other household Spanish names such as Elena Arzak, Martin Berasetegui, Quique Dacosta and Andoni Luis Aduriz who will discuss ultra sensory dining.The Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio will also be making an appearance as one of the stars of the congress.
This is an event packed with chefs from all over the world and a congress that has established itself at the forefront of modern gastronomy.
