Heston's Bare Fridge Challenge
This week we also featured the second edition of our Bare Fridge Challenge - a game where we ask chefs from around the world what they would make with just four ingredients: cabbage, eggs, rice and black pepper.
The first chef to ever take the challenge was Danish chef Rene Redzepi fromNoma. But this time we posed the challenge to British chef Heston Blumenthal, a master of molecular gastronomy whose restaurants Dinner and The Fat Duck rank 9th and 13th on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, respectively.
Just what did Heston Blumenthal say he would make? Watch the video to find out.
Le Gran Fooding NYC
From the UK we traveled to New York City for a five-day food event that gathered chefs from all over the world. We're referring to Le Grand Fooding NYC, an event sponsored by S. Pellegrino that took place in Brooklyn.
The fourth edition of Le Grand Fooding NYC was a great opportunity for local chefs from Williamsburg, Red Hook, Fort Greene and Boerum Hill to welcome culinary talent from California, Sweden, London and Paris.
The chefs had a blast discovering each other's cuisine. Take a sneak peak at their adventures through our photo gallery of the event.
