Viva Mexico
The week began with a bang as we toured Mexico City for the Mesamerica chef symposium. While there we took a tasting tour of the city and found culinary gems on street corners, stalls, restaurants and markets. Mexico City is a vibrant town worth visiting, if only for the sheer enjoyment of its spectacular food. Take a look at our gourmet discoveries.
Hungry for Ham
From Mexico, we took a trip to Spain in search of the best jamón iberico. This Spanish ham is a delicacy made from a specific breed of pigs that eat acorns and herbs, resulting in robust meat that is later aged to perfection. Read all about our journey to the town of Jabugo and the fantastic jamón we discovered along the way.
World Pastry Stars
We also traveled to Italy for the inaugural World Pastry Stars event. Ten of the world’s best pastry chefs and chocolatiers convened in Milan to share their life stories. Each one revealed what they think is the secret to their success. Here’s what they had to say.
