THE CUISINE OF SOFIA
We kicked off the week with a trip to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Our mission was a simple one: to find the greatest eats in this off-the-radar food destination.
Although the country was formerly part of the Soviet Union we discovered restaurants and bars with an interesting vibe and serving everything from vegetarian cuisine and folksy food to international cocktails and modern bites. It's really a fascinating city and worth a trip.

THE WORLD OF FOOD FRAUD
From Sofia we turned our attention to the world of food fraud.
Are you really eating a New Zealand kiwi, Italian extra virgin olive oil and French wine? It turns out these are some of the most popular counterfeit foods, along with seafood. Unfortunately, food fraud is alive and well and continues to prosper. Here is our in-depth investigation on the topic.
AUTUMN IS SERVED
We ended the week with a look at the lovely work of German photographer Bettina Güber, who gave us a taste of autumn with her stunning collection of autumnal themed photographs entitled Autumn is Served.
Her series features elegant cutlery and ornate crockery along with pomegranates, autumnal leaves, squash, live snails, mushrooms and more. Take a look at her spectacular work.
