If you're up for the challenge, master French patissier Cédric Grolet has written his next stunning recipe book, revealing 100 of classic recipes from his sleek new patisserie, Opéra, opened just last month in the heart of Paris at 35 avenue de l'Opéra.
The publication is only available in French at the moment, but the tempting photography is more than enough encourage cake fans on a delicious journey into the flakey, buttery, fragrant world of french baking at its best. If not to make a pilgrimage to the patisserie in person and be first through the door for a fresh croissant in the morning!
Speaking of the new book Grolet remains committed to developing new experiences and breaking boundaries, explaining, "Opera illustrates a pastry of yesterday and today: take a step back to get back to basics. And the main thing for me, now, is to seek authenticity,"
