Flax seeds are one of the best seeds you should be eating. They contain omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and protein. So you'll be adding a healthy kick to your recipes.
To make an egg replacer you'll need to mix ground flax seeds (also known as flax meal) with water. Allow the mixture to stand for a few minutes then...voila! You've got yourself a gel-like substance you can use in your favorite recipes.
Recipe for flax seed egg replacer
For one egg:
1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds
3 tablespoons of water
Mix and let stand 5 minutes. Then use in your recipes just like you would eggs. Multiply according to how many eggs you'd like to substitute.
