Dandelyanat the Mondrian Hotel on London’s South Bank has been named World’s Best Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail's11th Annual Spirited Awards in New Orleans.
The bar, founded by Ryan Chetiyawardana, who is known for his innovative, botanical heavy cocktails made with bespoke ingredients, also picked up Best International Hotel Bar and Best International Bar Team.
Other winners on the night included the NoMad in New York (Best American Bar Team), Tippling Club, Singapore (Best International Restaurant Bar) and Black Pearl, Melbourne (Best International Cocktail Bar).
As in 2016, London performed strongly, with five awards in the international and global categories.
Geranium's Rasmus Kofoed has decided to stop serving meat at the restaurant currently ranked number two on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list. But the Danish chef isn't yet willing to go purely plant-based.
