Here's a great little project from the artist Sarah from Sarah Makes a Blog.
Being a vegetarian Sarah says she has always had a strange relationship with meat and to try and highlight the amount of meat produced in the top four states of America she made these interesting beef cut-outs from styrofoam.
Called Beef Stakes each one features figures showing just how much meat was produced in that state in 2011.
Nebraska, Texas, Kansas and Iowa were all shown with the amount of meat produced, the cost to produce and the overall cost from the year.
Rather than just being faux-meat, Mamu is different. It's a mushroom-based meat alternative that's getting its launch in restaurants so that chefs can test its versatility. Flora Tsapovsky investigates.
