The French company UNOWHY have released an English language version of QooQ , a tablet that's designed solely for the kitchen.
The idea is that the tablet comes packed with up to 1000 recipes from chefs that are pre installed for users to try - users can also subscribe to receive other recipes for $9.99 a month.
The tablet itself costs $399 and although it looks extremely sturdy the best and most customizable option may be to buy a tablet and install different cooking apps that suit your cooking style and preference.
The lack of a browser to allow users to surf and find their own content is one of the ultimate drawbacks to what looks like a promising idea for the future.
