There's no one who would be more furious about fake Cronuts than Dominique Ansel, the pastry chef who invented the doughnut-croissant hybrid. In his latest attempt to curb Cronut fraud, the chef has called out Victoria Beckham after she tweeted a picture of a dozen alleged Cronuts.
The famous Spice Girl tweeted the picture with the caption ''Breakfast! Cronuts x vb'' while powering up to present her Spring 2014 show for New York's Fashion Week.
Ansel responded by tweeting "Who tricked @victoriabeckham into thinking those knockoffs were the real Cronut™? An intern who overslept and didn't wait in line? Hope not."
So far, Beckham has not responded to Ansel's tweet so we're left to wonder who tricked the fashionista into thinking those pastries were the real deal. We sure wouldn't want to be the guilty party.
