It seems that chef Daniel Boulud has come over a little Scottish with his latest offering of a Wild Scottish Grouse Game Dinner.
Hosted at the famous Daniel Restaurant in New York, guests will be served a wild Scottish red grouse bird - known for it tender, rich, red meat and for being notoriously difficult to hunt because of the speeds at which it flies.
There will be a six course dinner with blue lobster, wild rabbit terrine with all courses pointing to the Grouse served with a barberry jus.
It's an interesting concept and with the Scottish gaming season now in full swing, it's food that really is being served at its peak.
The dinner will take place on 28th August with tickets costing $350 per person. To reserve a place at the dinner you must email [email protected].
