Eating organic is a trend that's become extremely popular in recent years. In Peru, the term organic took on deeper meaning when homeowners decided to build their kitchen around an existing tree.
This unique kitchen is located inside a whimsical bungalow in the town of Miraflores and it's a twist on the childhood dream of building a tree house. Designed by Peruvian architect Ghezzi Novak, the home consists of a terrace, garden and swimming pool.
But the gem of the house is the earthy kitchen built around an old tree which separates the space between the pantry, refrigerator and dining room. The concept of an open roof allows for natural light and ventilation in the brick-wall kitchen. A copper tap in the kitchen sink adds the cherry on top.
