Usually made up of a deep bowl and long pouring stem the carafe is held at arms length with the wine poured directly into the mouth. It takes years of practice to ensure none is spilt and is a real fun way to drink wine.

Etienne Meneau is one of these designers - his work takes carafes to a whole new level. Trees, hearts and blood vessels are all depicted in the artists carafe designs.
