Taste of cinema in San Sebastián, Spain: the 67th edition of the Culinary Zinema - a section of the San Sebastián International Film Festival created in collaboration with the Berlin International Film Festival and jointly organised with the Basque Culinary Center - turned on the spotlight, as every year, on a selection of the best recent food inspired movies, taking the chance to focus on some other actual themes.
The section, gathering a non-competitive selection of gastronomy-related film, was meant as usual to unite cinema, gastronomy, and activities related to food in education, science and agriculture. Every movie selected was accompanied by a specifically themed dinner, from the opening night with The legend of Don Julio: meat and bones and Don Julio's chef Pablo Rivero from Buenos Aires cooking at the Basque Culinary Centre, to the closing night with A taste of sky and the chefs Kenzo Hirose Velasco and Marsia Taha Mohamed Salas from Gustu Restaurant/School in Bolivia serving their menu at LABe (Tabakalera).
Below, you can find the trailers of the food inspired movies presented this year in San Sebastián. Enjoy!
