The 2013 Milan Design Week has officially kicked off in Italy. The prestigious design fair, Salone del Mobile and the satellite fair Fuori Salone, will run until April 14th, bringing together some of the most talented designers in the world. S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna are the official waters of many events and launches.
Last night's opening party by Interni is one example. Held every year at the State University in Milan, it's a nice gathering of the many things to come during the week. Highlights of the week-long fair include Interni's Hybrid Architecture & Design, a series of events dedicated to the melting pot of architecture and design. As part of Hybrid Architecture & Design, installations from renown architects and designers will be exhibited at the State University in Milan until April 21st.
Another event to keep your eye out for EuroCucina, aka the International Kitchen Furniture Exhibtion, to be held until April 13th. EuroCucina will feature over 160 exhibitors spanning 85,300-square feet.
As far as designers go, participating talent includes Tel Aviv's Nir Mieri and Dutch design group Tjep. Below is a sample of the work they are currently exhibiting at Milan Design Week.
