We’ve already featured the Misen knife on FDL but after their massive success in crowd funding we thought it probably needed another shout out.
The Misen knife is the idea of a small team of chefs, designers who have created a high quality chef knife for a low quality price. An product that people are obviously crying out for after the company managed to raise over $1 million on Kickstarter to make their design commercially available.
The knife costs just $65 but the makers say it packs the same kick as much higher priced alternatives on the market thanks to their use of high carbon stainless steel, a unique blade angle and something they call hybrid blade geometry.
Anyone who has worked in a kitchen knows just how important it is to have a top knife, they also know just how expensive it can be to own that knife. If Misen lives up to their claims, this could quickly become a leader, especially for those starting out in the kitchen.
The infographic below explains more about why the Misen could be a game changer. What do you think? Can a knife at just $65 really offer what the pros need in the kitchen?
