Sean Brock Just Posted the Dream Job for All Chefs

Calling out to all chefs whose idea of a dream job consists of regular days off, a trained counselor for your work and life's problems, training sessions on mindfulness and positivity: Sean Brock's Audrey Nashville opening is imminent and he's looking for talented staff.

This is a restaurant that's about to change the game of the industry in regards to kitchen culture. Actually, from what we've heard so far we'd be surprised if it didn't literally stipulate a 'no-stress guarantee’ in writing.

Brock has experienced serious burn out himself in the past due to work-related stress, which had resulted in his immune system shutting down and even caused problems with his vision.  

He has since fully recovered, but with his health he also gained an entirely new perspective on kitchen working conditions and the sustainability of the chef. 

The new venue, named Audrey, is where he will be putting all the lessons learnt in his own recovery process directly into brick and mortar.

Revealed in a recent interview with Fine Dining Lovers, this translates to an on-site mindfulness centre, trained counselors that replace traditional HR staff, and classes on positive psychology, communication, empathy and whatever else staff require to “re-centre and refuel.”
